Butech Bliss Announces Acquisition Of LM Equipment & Design, And Lehmann Mills

Salem, OH – September 1, 2021 – Butech Bliss is happy to announce the acquisition of both LM Equipment & Design, and Lehmann Mills.  Two companies that share the same facilities in Salem Ohio.

Butech Bliss, a manufacturing and engineering facility that builds custom coil processing and rolling mill equipment for the metals industry, was established in 1985 when John Buta founded Butech, then later purchased the assets and intellectual property of Bliss-Salem.  John, who is a life-long resident of Salem and who has worked for both Bliss and LM Equipment before founding Butech, believes that bringing these local manufacturing facilities into the Butech Bliss family will be a benefit to not only the employees, community and companies, but to all of the customer’s involved.  The synergies associated with the manufacturing, engineering and sales support of these product lines will allow for improved technology, competitiveness and customer satisfaction from this new team.

LM Equipment is an OEM dedicated to designing and building coil processing machinery and systems for the metals industry.  This acquisition gives owners of PAXSON equipment access to Butech Bliss’ services to better maintain this equipment.  Services such as quick turn around on spare parts, engineering services to upgrade or modify equipment, and a complete field service department for dispatch on any mechanical, electrical or hydraulic needs.

Lehmann Mills manufactures high quality dispersion mills and has built more than 5,000 in its 100 plus year history.  Lehmann also offers quality service, reconditioning and spare parts service, for not only their mills but for any brand dispersion mill.

Collectively this expanded business will serve customers from cosmetics and chocolate, to specialty metals and steel.

Butech Bliss would like to give special thanks to The Sustainable Opportunity Development Center (SOD Center), Salem’s economic development organization, which assisted Butech Bliss with several resources during the acquisition of Lehman Mills. Julie Needs, SOD Center Executive Director, provided environmental contacts and resources through the Ohio EPA as well as incentive options available through regional and state economic development organizations and partners.

The SOD Training Center will also be assisting Butech Bliss with specialized training opportunities for the employees of Lehman Mills.  “The SOD Center is pleased to have assisted Butech Bliss in this acquisition. Providing assistance and tools that keep companies local is so important to the economic prosperity of the Salem Community,” stated Ms. Needs. The SOD Center extends its sincere thanks to Butech Bliss and their leadership for their continued investment in the Salem Community.
